A weekend retreat that will inspire and deepen your yoga practice
This yoga retreat will focus on your practice of hatha yoga as well as Yoga Philosophy.
A special lecture and talk will be given on The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, as taught by Maurie Earls and we will also learn traditional Vedic Chanting taught by Sujata Jairo. Emily Curtis, will be teaching Pranayama and Asana and Dr Orna Triguboff, meditation and relaxation.
The yoga retreat centre is situated one hour south of Sydney in the luscious bush land of Otford, Govinda Valley and within a short distance to Stanwell Park beach, if you felt like a dip!

The food is pure vegetarian in alignment with a yogic diet. According to Vedic knowledge, the quality and content of a person’s diet are very significant factors affecting their state of mind; indeed, one’s consciousness is directly influenced by what he or she chooses to eat. Therefore, the menu is geared towards nutritious and wholesome foods which are beneficial for spiritual activities.
On offer will also be a qualified massage therapist, specialised in sports, remedial and swedish massage. He will be taking bookings throughout the course of the weekend as an optional extra.
Yogic wisdom – inspirations from the ancient Indian teacher Patanjali.
Prana yama – prana means ‘breath’ as well as ‘vitality’. Through breathing practice, we improve our health and vitality.
Asana – traditional yoga postures to improve your strength, flexibility, fitness and general wellbeing.
Meditation – give yourself a chance to quiet the mind, expand your consciousness and improve your ability to focus.
Relaxation – a technique for rejuvenation and renewal. We cleanse the chakras (energy centres) and experience deep restfulness.
